Modesto Birth & Beyond, LLC is a full-service birth and postpartum doula group practice. We serve families in the Central Valley communities of Modesto, Oakdale, Turlock, Ripon, Escalon, Manteca, Tracy, Stockton, Lodi, and beyond. Our mission is to nurture growing families by providing the professional, practical, & stabilizing support that facilitates a positive birth experience and equips families to thrive! We offer childbirth education, highly skilled and compassionate birth doulas, educated and experienced postpartum doulas, placenta encapsulation services, workshops and classes for new parents, and doula mentorship opportunities.

Private & group classes available on the following topics: The Six Healthy Birth Practices, Anatomy & Physiology of birth, partner support tips, balanced pelvic floor for optimal fetal positioning, birth plan counseling, relaxation techniques, non-medical comfort measures, postpartum planning, breastfeeding & newborn care.

BIRTH DOULA SERVICES

Birth Doulas are skilled professionals that provide non-medical support before, during, and shortly after birth, according to their clients’ preferences. They are trained to provide educational, physical, and emotional support throughout the birth process. A birth doula’s purpose is to help women and their families have a safe, healthy, and satisfying birth experience, as they define it.

POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES

Postpartum doulas nurture and educate the birthing or adoptive family. They assess the needs of the family including information and support on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing, and coping skills for new parents. Services also may include overnight support (night nanny) to maximize sleep for the whole family, help with light housework, preparing light meals, and assistance with sibling adjustment. We are an extra set of hands in the busy household of a newborn. In a word, we are near the mother as she recovers from birth.

LACTATION specialist SERVICES

Lactation counselors and consultants are professional breastfeeding specialists trained to teach mothers how to feed their baby. They help women experiencing breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulties, painful nursing, oversupply, and low milk production. A lactation specialist also helps babies who aren't gaining enough weight.

PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION

Placenta encapsulation is the simplest, safest, and most natural way to aid in postpartum wellness. The placenta is full of essential feel-good hormones and iron, which can be gradually welcomed back into your postpartum body through placenta capsules. The physical and emotional benefits can lead to improved bonding with your baby.

I was pressured to have a C-section with my first born and didn’t think that I would have any more kids because of the trauma of the c-section.

When I found out I was pregnant, I was really scared to go through another c-section and miss the first hour of bonding with my baby. My supportive spouse and I decided to take Lamaze classes and found this team. I loved them so much. After the classes, we decided to hire them as doulas. Sheila and Brooke were so amazing during my delivery!…. My delivery was not an easy delivery, but they worked with us to figure out the positions to help with pain and to deliver our baby naturally. If it wasn’t for this team I would have probably would have gotten another c-section. Instead we had a successful VBAC!….. I wish I would have known about them for my son’s birth, but they made my daughter’s birth even more special!….. Thank you two so much for everything!….. we appreciate all the support and help you provided us throughout our journey!
